APJCC Preschool – Where Young Children Play, Learn & Thrive

Picture a glorious, sunny Los Gatos day. Birds sing as children laugh and scream with excitement on the APJCC Preschool playground.

They play games, climb, swing, learn, and discover the world together, forming some of the first social connections and relationships of their lives. All within a safe, supportive, and nurturing environment. Jewish Silicon Valley (JSV) knows that play is the work of children. That’s why the APJCC Preschool follows developmentally appropriate practices in a play-based and inquiry-based program, offering high-quality, inclusive early education rooted in Jewish values for children 18 months to 5-years-old.

APJCC’s preschool programs are hyper-focused on inclusivity and welcome families and staff of all ethnic, cultural, and religious backgrounds. The youngest students begin by widening their circle of peers and trusted adults. While 2 to 3-year-olds explore developmental activities that promote gross and fine motor skills, emphasize socialization and self-regulation, along with promoting self-help and listening, APJCC Preschool’s oldest students go through a pre-kindergarten experience, rich in pre-literacy, and STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) education, woven into classes that remain true to the school’s play-based philosophy.

These experiences are critical to helping children grow in all developmental areas — social, emotional, cognitive, language, and motor. But most importantly, JSV and the APJCC Preschool offer young families a sense of community, support, and connection to Judaism in a way that feels meaningful to them. In that spirit, APJCC Preschool is thrilled to announce the addition of an inclusion specialist to their staff. This key team member will provide additional support for families with children with special needs, as well as the educators who work with them.

Jewish Silicon Valley is proud to house the APJCC Preschool. We are eager to connect with your family and provide your young children with the type of developmentally appropriate education that will serve as a strong foundation for learning throughout their lives.

I can’t thank you enough for all the support and understanding you have shown us. We all highly appreciate you and the amazing teachers, and all the wonderful team at APJCC!
