CHAIM Exhibit

A Holocaust lens through which to combat hate! Do you have questions about genocide, intolerance, hate, or the Holocaust? The CHAIM exhibit explores these questions through the lens of personal Holocaust history from its lead up and until today.

This year’s event connects us all to the grieving and loss of our brave, to the joy and celebration of our Independence over the course of one evening as one community.

Join Jewish Silicon Valley and our amazing Operations Team as they host a fun afternoon of thanking our local heroes and Touch a Truck! Local Fire and Police Departments and others will be out to visit with the community. Thank you to all of those that help keep our community safe!

Teen Mental Health: First Aid Course

When: April 30 | 10:00am-4:00pm
Where: APJCC los Gatos

Join instructor Deb Massey for a Youth Mental Health First Aid Course, designed for parents and caregivers of teens as well as professionals working with teens. After this course participants will have the tools to interact with a teen who is experiencing a mental health crisis and how to connect to a professional who can help.

Israel 75: Bay Area Community Festival

When: April 30 | 11:00 AM – 3:30 PM
Where: San Mateo County Event Center, Expo Hall
Don’t miss the biggest celebration of Israel@75 across the Bay Area! Multiple organizations have teamed up to bring you a community festival in honor of Israel’s 75th anniversary. Rock on with soulful Israeli musician Avraham Tal, a Tel Aviv photography exhibit, interactive 3D paper art creation and lots more!

Yiddish Classes

When: April 12 – June 14th, 2023 | Wednesdays,  7:00-8:30 PM on zoom 

This introductory Yiddish course offers a rare opportunity to learn the Yiddish language from the ground up, covering basic, everyday vocabulary and essential grammar. Aspects of Yiddish culture, music, and stories will also be discussed. Free of charge, only course materials will be charged. Sponsored by San Jose State’s Jewish Studies Program.
