Thank you. One week ago today, a terrible fire broke out at the apartment homes across from our campus.
Despite the bustle of the evening, everyone in this community sprang into action. From helping guide traffic – or being patient and kind while stuck in it – to being a kind and understanding face and presence to families fleeing the scene and seeking refuge at our center.
Throughout this past week we received nothing but the most wonderful feedback from first responders and families affected by the fires about how this community handled the terrifying situation.
We continue to remain in contact with local law enforcement and the apartment group, and from the bottom of our hearts send you our deepest gratitude.
This is what community is all about. This is why we are here.
