Challah Baking Event

The Challah Bake is Back!

JSV Women’s Community is bringing back the Challah Bake just in time for Rosh Hashanah!

Thursday, September 15, 2022 | Levy Family Campus

Previously known as a Women’s Philanthropy “Twist” event, the Challah Bake is a fun evening of braiding challah with your community. This year’s event will be led by Helaine Green. Attendees will learn how to make our favorite dough recipe, kneading techniques, and how to form the best round challah. Once finished, you will be able to take your challah home (along with another special treat) to bake and share at your Rosh Hashanah dinner table.

Visit our Challah Bake page for more details and registration.

The fun doesn’t end there! No Challah Bake would be complete without a bake-off. Those who would like to compete may bake a challah of any shape or size at home, and then bring it to the event to be entered for 1st, 2nd, or 3rd place prizes. Please register in advance.

For those interested in helping out, please sign up here. Your support is greatly appreciated!

This event will benefit JSV’s Community Mikvah. Attendees are encouraged to make an additional gift in support of the only Community Mikvah in the South Bay. If you would like to learn more about the Mikvah or schedule a tour email [email protected].
