Movie Night with RSJ

Elena Yakovich will present her movie “Alexander Galich. “Forever unbuckle your belts”.
The great trio of bards Galich – Okudzhava – Vysotsky for decades determined the social and intellectual climate of the country. Why did Galich, the only one among them, openly defy the authorities? This is the main mystery of his life.
The movie shows for the first time many photos, documents, diaries, personal belongings, video chronicles and personal performance of his songs. This includes drafts of the poem “Kaddish.” The movie includes witnesses of his life, and it is the last filming of Leonid Zorin, Galina Volchek, Leonid Zhukhovitsky, Vladimir Voinovich, Julian Panich, etc. Yuli Kim, Pavel Lungin, Alexei Simonov, Veniamin Smekhov, his widow, his daughter, and many others will also talk about Galich.
