Interfaith Community Sukkot Experience

October 1, 2023 @ 5:00 pm - 7:00 pm

The Jewish holiday of Sukkot is often referred to as hag ha-asif, “The Harvest Festival.” Much of the imagery and ritual of the holiday revolves around rejoicing and gratitude for the completed harvest. The sukkah, a temporary structure built for the holiday, represents the huts that farmers would live in during the last hectic period of harvest before the coming of the winter rains. It is customary during Sukkot to welcome guests into your sukkah to share a meal or other meaningful activities.

In honor of that tradition, Temple Emanu-El and the Jewish Community Relations Council of Jewish Silicon Valley are pleased to invite the Interfaith Community to join us in our sukkah on October 1 at 5pm on the patio at Temple Emanu-El. Come learn from each other, socialize, and share a meal together.

Please RSVP here by September 28. Feel free to share this invite and the attached graphic with whomever you think might be interested.
