Beged Kefet Hebrew Language School (for grades K-12)

Beged Kefet is a Hebrew language afterschool program for students in kindergarten through high school. Beged Kefet’s purpose is to teach the fundamentals and improve the knowledge of Hebrew throughout the four language skills—reading, writing, speaking and comprehension. In addition to teaching the language, we emphasize and incorporate learning about Jewish holidays and Israeli culture in our curriculum, as well as integrating family activities in the different grade levels.

We offer classes for all grade and skill levels, including Hebrew as a Second Language class for beginners. This year, for the first time, we are offering a preschool class for children 4 years old. The lessons will take place at the APJCC in Los Gatos in-person.

To learn more, visit our Beged Kefet page.

For questions, please contact Beged Kefet’s Los Gatos Campus Headmaster, Yael Karmi at bkyael@jvalley.org.

ICC Beged Kefet is a creation of the ICC@JCC, a program of the Oshman Family JCC.

Eitanim: Connecting Israeli and Jewish-American Teens

The APJCC is excited to partner with the Israeli American Council (IAC) to offer the Eitanim program at the APJCC.  IAC Eitanim brings together Jewish-American and Israeli-American teens for an immersive project-based experience. The teens work with mentors from the community to embark on entrepreneurial problem solving based in critical thinking and innovation. Learn more about this program on IAC’s website.

This program is run in communities around the country and it’s a great experience that helps teens connect to their Jewishness, engage in their community and learn more about Israel.
