A Day of Inclusion: Fun & Sports with Family

A Day of Inclusion: Fun & Sports with Family

When: April 23 |  10:00am – 12:00pm

Where: APJCC Los Gatos

Enjoy a  day of fun and sports designed especially for children with disabilities, their families and caregivers. Guests can enjoy more than 10 interactive sports, arts, and dance stations that allow kids of all abilities to interact in an accessible and sensory-friendly way. Each station will have a dedicated volunteer to help guide and teach participants, and ensure they have a whole lot of fun.

The Torah tells us that every person is created in the Divine Image, B'Tzelem Elohim.

In addition to this event, APJCC Los Gatos works with kids and families navigating disabilities in several ways. APJCC’s Camp Shalom summer camp offers an inclusive summer camp program, where kids with special needs are partnered with a 1:1 camper advocate to support campers through traditional summer camp activities. The APJCC Preschool has a full time Inclusion Specialist focusing on programs, services, and education, as well as ensuring families with children of varying abilities feel welcomed and supported.

For adults with special needs, the APJCC Fitness and Aquatics teams are experienced professionals with a passion and belief that working out and taking care of yourself is for everyone.
