When you make a gift to the Federation, you power life-changing moments across town and across oceans. In Israel and around the globe, you create countless opportunities for those in need while also imagining new programs that keep the spirit of innovation alive. There isn’t a single aspect of Jewish life that your gift doesn’t impact.

You power community security.

“I feel safer in my community.”

Seniors living at Chai House were, like many, very concerned about their security, especially following the recent anti-Semitic acts of violence. With a grant from the Federation, they were able to conduct a thorough security assessment of their facility and have begun implementing the safety recommendations. They can now rest easier.

Your gift powers efforts to strengthen the security of our Jewish campuses from synagogues to day schools.

You power connection.

“I needed to find my place.”

Having just moved to Silicon Valley for a job, Avi didn’t know anyone. Back home in Israel, he had his family and friends, but here, he felt all alone. He discovered Federation-funded Chabad Young Professionals. With events ranging from Napa wine trips to weekly Shabbat dinners, Avi found a place where he could connect with other young adults. He found his community far from home.

Your gift powers programs that build community and strengthen Jewish identity, from young adult programs to PJ Library to Jewish camp scholarships.

You power a safety net.

“I didn't want my kids to sleep on the street."

Sam was working two jobs trying to make ends meet for his family. With the Bay Area’s high cost of housing, that was barely enough to pay rent. Then he was laid off and they faced homelessness. Federation-funded Jewish Family Services stepped in with a housing stipend, giving Sam the time to find another job while keeping his kids safe in their home.

Your gift powers everything from emergency food packages for families to medical expenses for Holocaust survivors, caring for the most vulnerable.

You power the future.

“I know I can make a difference."

Danielle is a busy tech executive. She enjoyed helping out at her synagogue, but never got involved beyond that. She was invited to participate in Yesod, the Federation’s leadership development program, which gave her insights into organizational leadership through a Jewish lens. It inspired her to take a more active role, lending her management expertise to strengthen Jewish organizations.

Your gift powers leadership programs such as Yesod and Giving Circle, ensuring the future of our Jewish community in Silicon Valley.

These are just a few examples of transformative moments that your gift powers. With your help, moments like these will continue to change lives and build community every moment of every day – here at home and around the globe.

No organization strengthens the Jewish community more than the Federation.
