This morning, the Osher Marin Jewish Community Center received a bomb threat. The facility was evacuated and has since reopened. No device was found. The Wornick Jewish Day School in Foster City also received a threat, and their facility was evacuated. Brandeis Marin remains on lock down. These events come on the heels of a series of threats targeting Jewish community centers in multiple East Coast states last week. New threats have been received by other East Coast facilities today, as well.
The Levy Family Campus has not received any threats at this time.
The facility has been purposely designed to afford occupants the maximum protection and security. Both visible and hidden security measures are in place, as they are every day. The Los Gatos Police Department and the FBI are actively aware of the current situation. The Levy Family Campus has a strict security protocol in place. Staff throughout the facility is trained in these procedures and take part in regular drills. Security personnel throughout the complex are also trained in dealing with potential threats.
Both Yavneh Day School and the APJCC Preschool are actively involved in implementing and enforcing these security protocols. As part of both schools’ outreach policy, phone and text alerts will be sent as necessary. Parents and guardians of the students in our schools will be notified by phone or text with instructions on how to proceed and where to pick up children should the need arise.
There have been no threats of any kind made to the Levy Family Campus or any of its agencies. As with any situation of this kind, however, we ask everyone using the campus to remain vigilant. If you see something, say something. Report any suspicious behavior to campus staff, security personnel, or call 911.

We will be posting any updates or changes to the threat level on the Jewish Federation’s social media accounts, listed below:

Our facility’s primary goal is to provide a safe, welcoming environment for all who use it. Our team doesn’t take that responsibility lightly. We appreciate your continued support of the Levy Family Campus.
