Women of Reform Judaism Area Event

It’s been two long years since we were all together. Women of Reform Judaism Pacific District is proud to announce our NorCal Area Event for 2022: “The Future Blooms From the Seeds We Plant Today”. This exciting event will take place on Saturday and Sunday, June 25 and 26th at Temple Emanu-El, 1010 University Avenue, San Jose. Scholarships are available. Hope to see you there!
There will be something for everyone:

Saturday, June 25

Share and Learn 2:00 pm – 4:30 pm:

  • The focus will be sharing and learning from other sisterhoods about alternative governing styles.
  • New ideas in programming and membership development will be introduced. 
  • Information about the new District transition and Engagement Plan will be revealed.

Then join us for Havdalah in the lovely San Jose Municipal Rose Garden followed by a no host dinner at the Old Spaghetti Factory – 51 North Pedro, San Jose.
Overnight Accommodations: We have blocked rooms at the Best Western Airport Plaza at 2118 The Alameda, San Jose. Reserve by June 11th. After that date, rooms will be at the posted rate. Social Action Project: Our social action project will be focused on the resettlement of refugees. WRJ PD supports the idea for meaningful assistance by collecting GIFT CARDS for The Jewish Family and Community Services East Bay Resettlement Program. We will be collecting gift cards from Target, Visa, Safeway but will accept gift cards from any store. Gift cards for Uber are welcomed. Cash donations will also be accepted. Or shop from the JFCS Amazon Wish List.

Sunday, June 26

We will begin our time together at 9:00 am with registration and a continental breakfast.

Morning workshops:

  • Welcoming the Stranger – Sharon Rogoff and Lisa Hirsch: resettlement program
  • For Your Special Taste – Chocolate for all Occasions
  • President’s Panel: Current and Future Presidents – Cher Krichmar and Carol Schuster

Catered lunch while learning about YES Fund and how it touches so many people. Following lunch will be time for networking and schmoozing. This will be a chance to catch up with so many we’ve lost contact due to the pandemic.

  • Awakening the Soul –  Lynn Patner
  • Alternative Governing Options and Rebuilding Membership – Cher Krichmar and Carol Schuster
