11:00 am - PASSOVER 2022: Introduction to Haggadah Variations (Virtual)
April 5, 2022 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm
FreeCelebrate and learn more about Passover with our free and virtual event.
Enjoy a presentation with Aviv Matzkin, Jewish Studies Teacher at Hausner Jewish Day School with an Introduction to the variety of Haggadahs – some of which are on display in the JCC lobby, by Rabbi Chaim, co-owner (with his wife) of “Afikomen” store in Berkley.
Though the Pesach evening ceremony and meal are called “order” (seder), the steps of the service and the text of the Haggadah seem haphazard and disjointed.
If you’d like to know the secret narrative running through the Haggadah, if you’d like to understand the hidden structure to the 15 steps of the seder, if you’re ready to impress your family and friends by revealing the meaning of every detail in the Haggadah, join us for a close reading that will have you repeatedly slapping your forehead and saying, “How did I not notice this before?!”
