Enjoy Yiddish songs and klezmer music ranging from Bessarabia to Broooklyn. We are excited to present Jeanette Lewicki with her eclectic repertoire of songs and stories, joined by clarinetist Sheldon Brown and bassist Richard Saunders. They have played together for over twenty years, for audiences all over the Bay area.
Yiddish singer and accordionist Jeanette Lewicki was born in California and has pursued Yiddish song and klezmer music around the world. She has coached Michael Tilson Thomas in Yiddish, sung at numerous weddings and played in the Yiddish Theatre in New York and San Francisco.
Composer and woodwind multi-instrumentalist, Sheldon Brown has been involved in the San Francisco Bay area music scene for over 20 years, playing many of his own compositions with several groups.
Richard Saunders has played bass for the San Francisco Mime Troupe, Cat Anderson and Joe Henderson, as well as, for many movie scores.
