The Havurah Zion presents: Judge LaDoris Hazzard Cordell who will discuss her recently published memoir Her Honor: My Life on the Bench… What Works, What’s Broken, and How to Change It. Her Honor is a finalist for the 2022 California Book Award and for the 2022 Northern California Book Award. It is a revealing and insider look at the life of a trial judge and also discusses how we can make our legal system more fair and just. Please register here to attend

Temple Emanuel- Temple House All members and community are welcome, free of charge. Judge LaDoris Hazzard Cordell is a graduate of Stanford Law School and former Vice Provost at Stanford University. She was the Independent Police Auditor for the City of San Jose, a Palo Alto City Council Member, and a frequent legal commentator on radio and television. “Judge Cordell embodies the meaning of judicial independence”, according to Kathleen Sullivan, former Dean of Stanford Law School. In her other life, Judge Cordell is an artist and pianist; she resides in Palo Alto with her partner, Florence Keller, and is a mother and grandmother. Read More Here
