Jewish Leadership Forum: Lessons from the Ledge featuring Alison Levine

December 2, 2021 @ 8:30 am - 9:30 am

The Jewish Leadership Forum is a Free Zoom Event Presented by J Leaders (www.jleaders.org)

You can’t control the environment; only the way you react to it. Alison Levine makes a compelling case that the principles that lead to success in the world of extreme adventure also apply to everyday settings–in business and in life. Alison draws authentic parallels between the mountains and the uncontrollable environments that we all deal with every day — at work, at home, in school, and in our communities. Set against the backdrop of her remarkable expeditions, Alison provides a framework to you scale whatever big peaks you aspire to climb (be they literal or figurative) by offering practical, humorous, and often unorthodox advice about how to take risks, improve teamwork and deal with changing environments.

Having served as the team captain of the first American Women’s Everest Expedition, she combines her knowledge of mountaineering with twenty years of business experience to focus on the parallels between staying alive on the world’s most dangerous peaks and succeeding in a fast-paced world. Alison’s breathtaking visuals will take you on a journey to some of the world’s most extreme environments; where determination is every bit as important as skill when it comes to survival…and willpower is the most essential piece of equipment.

Forum co-hosts: Americans for Ben-Gurion University, Brandeis University Hornstein Professional Leadership Program, Hillel International, Hillel CU Boulder, Hillel of Colorado, Hillel of Silicon Valley, Jewish Community Center of the East Bay, Jewish Life at Duke, Jewish Silicon Valley, and the Jewish High Tech Community.
