12:00 pm - Healthy Aging | The History of Modern Israel

Learn about the history of Israel and its unique path of development.
We will examine the historical events creating and developing of the state of Israel, and bearing on its struggles and the successes.
We will start in the 19th century, with the founding of the Zionist movement, through Jewish settlement in the land of Israel and to 1948, when the state of Israel was established.
We will watch documentaries and discuss the roles of the Jewish people and the rest of the world.
The course will promote greater understanding of the history of the State of Israel and its relation to the Jewish people.
We will meet for an hour of discussion on Wednesdays bi-weekly on zoom. After the meeting you will be asked to watch an hour of the “Pillar of Fire” documentary.
Israel Littman, a passionate Zionist, will share his vast knowledge with us, as well as collections of documentaries and pictures he gathered over the years.
