10:00 am - Fri-J: family friendly guided fall hike
November 11, 2022 @ 10:00 am - 2:00 pm
Let’s do something special before Shabbat, especially if the kids are off from school! Fall is the season of transition. For annual beings it is the transition from dormancy into renewal and for perennials it is transition from reproduction to personal growth. For people it is also the season of summary and reflection, of pulling ourselves from our travels and worldly experiences back into our homes, families, and local communities. It is the time where we count our blessings, implement our lessons, and plan our next projects. It is the time when we plant our seeds, both the seeds of our plant crops and the idea-seeds of our minds, and we wait for the rains to come.
We invite you to join us in a fall experience on Friday, November 11. The hike will be at Calero County Park, a wide open area with rolling hills of oak savannah and deep, laurel-shaded creek beds. The hike will be a 3.5 miles loop trail, level easy+, accessible to strollers, and is planned to take about 4 hours at an easy pace including breaks and guided activities. We will meet at the main staging Area of Calero Park.
