Modern visual art, and especially contemporary visual art, is a reflection of the times in which it is created. Throughout the 20th century, sculpture artists reconsidered and refined the concept of sculptures in a more profound way than it had ever been before.
How do artists respond to social issues? How do they present these issues? Do they intend to present a solution or just attract attention?
In this presentation, Sigal Kletter, a volunteer docent with the Contemporary Jewish Museum [CJM] will focus on sculptures and installations that are displayed in different cities; these sculptures touch on some social issues that different cultures and communities around the world face.
