12:30 pm - Exploring Art | Really?! That’s art? I can make something like that too!

For most of us, contemporary art is a challenging business, in which a person looking at a picture asks him/herself, “What do they see that I do not see?” Or “What does this artist want to say?” At that moment, most of us do not stop to find out what it is we are looking at; we go straight to the punch line: “nonsense that even I with a little color can do.” Did any of us pick up the challenged glove and really make a scribble that everyone is excited about??

We will look at how to explore and relate to contemporary art together, through a discussion: Are there details we can relate to? Does it challenge our set of values, beliefs, views?
