Leading up to the Super Bowl, and in creating on-going initiatives, Santa Clara County is making huge strides in combating human trafficking. Come hear this group of powerful advocates, who will share cultural approaches to solving human trafficking, and how the justice and legislative branches are working hand in hand with the community to make a real difference.

Congressman Mike Honda will speak about the legislation he sponsored that created the survivors advisory council to the President. DA Jeff Rosen will speak on the working relationship between the DA and the community.

A dynamic panel will address South-Asian, Israeli and Latina community strategies to end human trafficking: Protima Pandey from Bay Area Legal Aid, Dr. Merav Shmueli, Anti-Trafficking Coordinator from the Israeli Justice Ministry, and Perla Flores from Community Solutions.

Sponsored by the Community Relations Council of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, the Coalition to End Human Trafficking, No Traffick Ahead, The District Attorney’s Office of Santa Clara County, the Hindu American Foundation, Congregation Shir Hadash, Temple Emanu-El, Congregation Sinai, Addison-Penzak JCC of Silicon Valley, Jewish Family Services of Silicon Valley, Congregation Beth David, Congregation Kol Emeth, the Israeli Consulate of the Pacific Northwest and Community Solutions.
