Nurture your mind, body, and soul
For the program and a light lunch a nominal donation of $5 per person is requested which will be collected at the door. We invite those with a last name starting with A-L to bring dessert to share.
Please RSVP by Friday, May 8 as we will be providing a catered lunch!
Join us as we learn from teachers of three different disciplines - Chair Yoga, Feldenkrais Method, and Meditation.
Each teacher will explain their discipline and then guide us through some examples of their classes which are held weekly here at Shir Hadash. There is no special clothing required, nor will there be any strenuous activity!
Chair Yoga - Instructor Sudha Parmar will talk about this gentle form of yoga that stretches muscles and joints.
Feldenkrais Method - Instructor Meerenai Shim will teach us this holistic approach to optimizing human functioning.
Meditation - Instructor Marilyn Katz will guide the group using principles of Jewish meditation.
About: The Retirees Lunch & Learn, a group of seniors that has been meeting at Congregation Shir Hadash for 10 years, has grown to some 200 members, with monthly programs attracting 40 people or more. Join us for the chance to visit, eat lunch, and hear a speaker or program.
Cost: Friends and family are invited to participate and are asked to make a $5 donation towards the cost of lunch. This donation is collected at the door. Groups of members alternate bringing in dessert.
