Dear Governor Brown--Please sign AB 6 and AB 69 into law

Governor Brown has over 600 bills to consider signing over the next few weeks, and it’s very unlikely that he will sign them all. Even if the idea of picking up the phone and calling the Governor’s office sounds intimidating, think about the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of families and seniors who are depending on your action.

The JCRC has advocated for removing the barriers to enrolling in food stamps for years, and AB 6 and AB 69 will greatly streamline the process. We have joined with California Food Policy Advocates, Catholic Charities, Kids in Common, Step Up Silicon Valley, United Way and West Valley Community Services in sharing this call to action.

Please take a few moments to make a real difference.

Call 1-877-698-8228 and enter your zip code to be connected to your Representative. Tell your Representative that Congress must pass the child nutrition bill and guarantee that SNAP cuts are restored in future legislation.
