about pj library

The PJ Library Programâ„¢ of Silicon Valley was formally launched in December 2008 with a community-wide mailing to families affiliated with each of our "Constituent Partners."

This mailing included a sample PJ Library book, and encouraged families in our community with children aged 6 months to 5-1/2 years to enroll each child of appropriate age. It also informed other recipients of the possibility of giving gift subscriptions to grandchildren and the children of friends.

Every month, we are delighted to welcome new families committed to raising their children in a Jewish home. Books begin to arrive between 8 and 10 weeks after enrollment is confirmed.

This program is absolutely free to all participating families. It would not be possible to offer this wonderful opportunity to our community without the support of three very important organizations: The Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley, the Jim Joseph Foundation of San Francisco, and the Harold Grinspoon Foundation of Massachusetts.
