Judy Levin honored by Federation

The Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose will honor Judy Levin with the Harold R. Witkin Humanitarian Award at its annual dinner for families that have given a minimum of $1,800 to the annual campaign. The dinner will take place on Jan 10th.

Judy Levin has been an important leader for many important South Bay Jewish, and non-Jewish, organizations.

Currently, Judy serves on the board of the United Jewish Communities, the Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose, and the Volunteer Center of Silicon Valley. Over the years, she has held nearly every important post at the Federation, including Federation president, Women's Philanthropy presdent, and Campaign Chair of Women's Philanthropy. She has also served as vice-president of development at Yavneh Day School.

Created as a memorial to Harold Witkin, president of the Jewish Federation of Greater San Jose from 1975-78, the award honors Witkins admirable contributions to Jewish life in San Jose.

The Award is intended to recognize the accomplishments of individuals who have demonstrated extraordinary leadership in our Jewish community. The recipient, like its namesake, exemplifies through both words and deeds the highest of Jewish values and the relentless pursuit of excellence in all aspects.
