Jewish Federation launches Website redesign in December

By Cecily Ruttenberg

The Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley has launched a redesign of its website that includes a comprehensive calendar of all Jewish related events in the Silicon Valley. Visitors to the newly overhauled www.jewishsiliconvalley.org can find out about worship at local synagogues, Jewish young adult outings, tot Shabbats, lectures, classes, special events, and much more.

"We hope this site will make it easier for people to get involved in Silicon Valley Jewish events," said Brian David Goldberg, executive director of the Jewish Federation of Silicon Valley. "Our goal is to help foster a more active and cohesive Jewish community."
Other features of the website include volunteer opportunities. Visitors can read about bringing meals to isolated seniors through Jewish Family Service of Silicon Valley, tutoring children in Hebrew at Etz Chaim Academy and much more.

The many arms of Federation are also explained in detail on the site: Women’s Division, Jewish Com-munity Relations Council, Young Adult’s Division, and the Council on Jewish Education. Visitors to the site will also have access to the Jewish Community News online.
"Our plan is for the website to act as the central address for Jews in the Silicon Valley," said Goldberg. "The site will be another way to connect South Bay Jewish organizations, and to reach out to unaffiliated Jews."
