Bring your lunch and join Cantor Meeka Simerly for a unique opportunity to study excerpts from the five Megillot (scrolls): The books of Song of Songs (Passover), and Ruth (Shavuot), Lamentations (Nine of Av), Ecclesiastes (Sukkot), and Esther (Purim). Traditionally these five scrolls are read throughout the year during holidays that have similar themes to be found in each book.
During each session we will cover one chapter or an idea from one of the Megillot. Materials will be provided, including translations and commentaries.
Sessions are open to all - please join us on the third Wednesday of each month at noon.
