The Women’s Study group has chosen The Modern Jewish Girl’s Guide to Guilt by Ruth Ellenson, for our study this year.

Join this intergenerational group of Jewish women to talk about Jewish identity and the tension inherent in contemporary life.

We will read and discuss short essays from our book by well known contemporary Jewish authors including Rebecca Goldstein, Dara Horn, Tova Mirvis and Ayelet Waldman on topics including trying to please our families, Jewish self-image, divided loyalties, and finding balance between our ancient heritage and our modern lives.

The Group meets the third Thursday of each month, beginning November 17, 2011, meeting once a month through May, 2012.

Fee: Cost of book is $8.00 for a used copy and $10.00 for a new paperback copy.

Books: Copies of the book are available for sale in the Temple office.
