January 31, 2012 from 1:30 PM to 2:00 PM

7th Annual International Holocaust Remembrance will be observed by the San Jose City Council, with a proclamation presented by Councilwoman Rose Herrera and Mayor Chuck Reed. Survivor Jack Tramiel will accept the proclamation and share remarks. This is a very brief but meaningful ceremony that precedes the regular city council meeting. International Holocaust Remembrance Day was declared by the United Nations to take place every year officially on January 27, the day that Auschwitz was liberated in 1945.
