This short program for patients, their families, hospital staff and community members focuses on how those who are in the hospital at this significant time of the year can find meaning in the Jewish High Holidays. Students from the Gideon Hausner Jewish Day School will join with members of the Jewish Chaplaincy at Stanford University Medical Center and members of the community to usher in the Jewish New Year, a season of new beginnings. The brief program will include music, a holiday story, sounding of the shofar and will conclude with a snack of apples and honey.
