Tot Shabbat at Sinai

10:30am-11:30am in the Social Hall. This fun, interactive, educational and inspirational program is geared toward families with children ages 0-5 years. Each service is parent-led, and the kids have a little nosh, sing some songs, learn about prayer, have some activity, make new friends, and bond with their parents. We also share a story that relates to the weekly Torah portion.

Hike and Pray

With Rabbi Berkenwald on Sunday morning, July 12. Shacharit service under the trees (bring your tallit and tefillin) followed by a 4.7 mile morning hike at Castle Rock State Park. Meet at the synagogue at 8:30am to carpool to Castle Rock State Park, or meet in the parking area at 9:30am. The park is located on Highway 35 (Skyline Boulevard), 2.5 miles southeast of the junction with Highway 9, on the right. Bring your own lunch, sunscreen, hat, hiking shoes, and at least two liters of water.

About the Speakers
As Vice President of Enterprise and Mid-Market Solutions, Alan Cohen is responsible for developing and driving Cisco's global enterprise market strategy as well as the marketing of $26B of Cisco's technology portfolio - representing approximately 60% of the Company's revenue - including Mobility, Unified Communications and Collaboration, Network Services and Security, Data Center, Vertical Solutions, Emerging Technologies, Technical Marketing, and Business Relevancy. These duties include accelerating technology integration and adopting cross-technology approaches to deliver scalable solutions for the enterprise and mid-market/commercial sectors. In addition, he is a member of Cisco's Enterprise Business Council, Mobility Board, and Communications and Collaboration Board.

Cohen held an executive leadership role at Tahoe Networks, where he launched the company's mobile Internet activities including developing its mobile edge router and establishing its worldwide presence and brand. He also held executive roles at IBM, US West, and Coopers & Lybrand; in addition, he held senior management positions at Cisco, leading key service provider initiatives including Internet OSS, New World Ecosystem, and Internet Business Solutions.

The Jews of the Fillmore

The Jews of the Fillmore is an exhibition about the San Francisco Jewish population that thrived at Fillmore and McAllister streets in the early 20th century. This will take place at the Jazz Heritage Center in SF. For more information, contact Yuki at 510-549-6950.

The Klezmakers

The Klezmakers, a rollicking eight piece klezmer band from the Silicon Valley, will be performing at a free outdoor concert in Vasona Lake Park as part of the Vasona Vibrations concert series. Enjoy the food concession or bring a picnic dinner- beer and wine allowed. The whole family is invited!
